Looking at the young guys, both Trevis Gipson and Dominique Robinson did nothing on their very limited reps. Al-Quadin Muhammad was the only other edge rusher to have a pressure for the Bears, but that too came on a bootleg play where he was unblocked. Outside of Quinn, the rest of the edge rushers for the Bears were quiet as well. Ultimately, even though it was a tough matchup for Quinn, the Bears need to start seeing better production from him moving forward. Quinn had one pressure, but that was on a bootleg play where he was left unblocked. Andrew Thomas shut Quinn down, holding him to only one pass-rush win for the day. Robert Quinn was matched up against another elite left tackle for the second consecutive week and once again, he lost the matchup. A good amount of the Giants' passing plays were bootlegs as well which diminished the Bears' ability to get after the passer. This inflated the Bears' pass rush win rate numbers to a degree while at the same time making it difficult for the defensive line to really make a difference in the passing game. The Giants had a very run-heavy approach with virtually all of their receivers out, so there weren't too many opportunities for the Bears to really pin their back. It was a quiet day for the pass rush once again as the defensive line failed to make life uncomfortable for Giants quarterback Daniel Jones.

With that all said, let's take a look at the numbers. The offensive line wasn't much better either as Justin Fields was sacked six times and was under duress all game long. The pass rush didn't show up against a suspect Giants offensive line, only registering one sack while barely making much of an impact outside of that. There were struggles on both sides of the ball for the Bears, especially in the trenches. It was a rough week for the Chicago Bears as they lost 20-12 to the New York Giants on Sunday.
